Catholic Education WA has been clear about the approach for education at St Bernard’s and other Catholic schools for the first four weeks of Term Two: parents have the choice to keep their children at home, or to send them to school. All students, whether they are at home or at school, will continue their learning through online programs of work, prepared, monitored and assessed by their teachers, and supported by work packages and resources, if and as required.

When Term Two begins for students on Wednesday 29 April, St Bernard’s will provide one mode of learning until Friday 22 May, with a review by CEWA on 18 May.

What a big week it has been. My congratulations to you all for taking on the mammoth task of remote learning with your children. I understand that this is not an easy task, as life goes on with your normal
responsibilities of caring for children, home duties, farm duties, and external employment. Unfortunately, these times find us having to work in this space and I thank you for taking this on board so that your
children can continue to make progress with their learning.
